Hometown Halloween – 2024
October 26 – A Spooktacular Celebration!
Join us for a day of fun, fright, and festivities at La Salle’s Hometown Halloween! This beloved community event promises to delight all ages with a lineup of exciting activities throughout the day.
Event Schedule:
– 10:30 AM: Kick off the celebration with a spirited performance by the **Hocus Pocus Hags** at the Knights of Columbus Parking Lot (209 Gooding St.). Get ready to be enchanted!
– 10:45 AM: Line up for the **Costume Parade** at the Knights of Columbus Parking Lot. Gather your friends and family and show off your creative costumes!
–11:00 AM: It’s time for the **Costume Parade & Judging!** Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes in various age groups: 0-1 year olds, 2-4 year olds, K-2nd graders, 3rd-5th graders, 6th grade and up, as well as family/group costumes. Don’t miss your chance to shine!
– 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Trick or treat your way through downtown as local businesses welcome you with candy and smiles. Bring your bags and enjoy the festive spirit!
– 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM: Head over to the **Pumpkin Carnival** at Ax Church (944 1st St), where children can enjoy games, activities, and delicious food and snacks. There’s something for everyone at this fun-filled carnival!

Run Run Rudolph 5k run/walk- 2024
City of La Salle Celebration of Lights

Monday through Sunday 5:00 – 9:00pm – Week of Christmas 5:00 – 10:00pm
Illuminate your holiday season with the City of La Salle’s Celebration of Lights! This spectacular event turns our Rotary Park into a dazzling display of holiday magic, offering a festive experience for the entire community.
Drive through nearly 3 miles of enchanting pathways adorned with shimmering lights and festive decorations that capture the spirit of the season. The Celebration of Lights features a stunning array of light displays, including giant holiday-themed installations and twinkling light sculptures that create a breathtaking winter wonderland.
This month long display kicks off with the annual Rudolf Run 5k where runners and walkers can have a different experience with the lights twinkling along the route.
Join us for every evening from Mid November through New Years of celebration, community, and unforgettable memories at the City of La Salle’s Celebration of Lights!

Miracle On First Street – 2024
December 7th – Get ready to celebrate the magic of the holiday season at Miracle on 1st Street! Join us in Downtown La Salle for a day filled with festive activities, family fun, and cherished traditions.
Event Schedule:
8:30 AM & 9:30 AM: Start your day with a delightful Breakfast with Santa at the Auditorium Ballroom (109 Wright St.). Enjoy a hearty meal and make special memories! Reservation information is to be announced.
- 10:00 AM – 1 PM: Experience the thrill of firetruck rides and indulge in tasty S’mores at City Hall (745 2nd Street).
- 10 AM – 2 PM: Capture the moment with Photos with Santa at the Auditorium Ballroom (109 Wright St.).
- 12 PM – 3 PM: Enjoy a classic holiday experience with Carriage Rides starting at 1st & Wright Streets.
- 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Bring the family together for Christmas Family Bingo at the Grove Center (1055 6th Street) for a chance to win festive prizes.
- 3:00 PM: Conclude the day with our Tree Lighting Ceremony, at City Hall (745 2nd Street).
