Was being buried alive a real cause for fear? Who might you find lurking about in a Victorian cemetery, and why? Find out on this 1-hour tour!
Join us on “The Volunteer” while professional storyteller Tricia Kelly recounts ghostly tales of the canal and region. The boat won’t leave the dock, but it will be a chance to board and see it before the end of the 2025 season. Costumes are not required, but they are encouraged!
Join us on First Street on October 25th for La Salle’s annual Hometown Halloween! With performances from the Hocus Pocus Hags, a costume parade and judging, and Trick-or-Treating throughout businesses downtown, this event is the perfect way to embrace fall and Halloween. We hope to see you there!

Shop small while enjoying a spooky vendor market in Pocket Park, a Halloween-themed photo op area, complimentary apple cider and cocoa for guests, Hocus Pocus Hags, and specials at your favorite local businesses.

Join us at the Hegeler Carus Mansion on October 4th for “Mansion Explorers: Mad Labs!” This free event will include science experiments and demonstrations, face painting, trick-or-treat stations, old-time games, and so much more! Come in your best Halloween costume and take a picture at our Mad Lab station! Then, tour the Mansion on our special STEAM Tour (for a $5 add-on).
Senica’s Oak Ridge Golf Club sprawls across gently rolling terrain that was used to guide the design. The resulting layout blends in almost seamlessly with the natural landscape. The golf course is routed through forests of mature oak trees and around five sparkling lakes. The back nine plays along a meandering creek. Beautiful fall colors can be seen along the course, making it the perfect autumn destination!
